TEACCH is an education program based on the intervention approach known as Structured Teaching. It entails the relative strengths and difficulties of autism affected people that determine their learning abilities. This paper presents the outcome of two TEACCH-based intervention studies for children with ASD and their parents, carried out in Germany. TEACCH has been running for several decades and a range of studies indicates that it is an effective intervention for Autism, although the studies did not meet all the criteria to qualify TEACCH unreservedly as an evidence-based treatment (Ozonoff & Cathcart, 1998) (Panerai, Ferrante, and Zingale 2002).
